Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline)
Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (known as Argireline) is a synthetic hexapeptide designed as a biotechnological alternative to botulinum toxin — without medical intervention. It works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters responsible for the contraction of expression muscles, thereby reducing dynamic wrinkles (crow's feet, frown lines, forehead lines). Unlike Botox, it does not paralyse the muscles but subtly limits their reactivity, which makes the effect natural and free of the risk of a frozen "mask". Clinical studies have proven a reduction in wrinkle depth of up to 30% after 30 days of regular use. Recommended in anti-wrinkle products for mature skin with visible expression lines, particularly around the eyes and forehead.
BOTOX EFFECT10% Argireline: a 30% reduction in the depth of expression wrinkles in 30 days (Lipotec/Lubrizol clinical study, n=10).
Mimicking the N-terminus of SNAP-25, it inhibits formation of the SNARE complex at neuromuscular synapses — limiting acetylcholine release and contraction of expression muscles.
