Gotu Kola Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola)
Centella Asiatica, also known as Gotu Kola, is a plant with over 2,000 years of history in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine, where it is called the "herb of longevity." It contains unique triterpenes: asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid, which stimulate the synthesis of type I and III collagen and activate fibroblasts to regenerate the extracellular matrix. It has been clinically proven to accelerate wound healing, reduce post-acne scars and strengthen blood vessels. It has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action, soothing redness and easing the symptoms of rosacea. An ideal ingredient in the care of sensitive skin, skin regenerating after treatments, and in firming products — reliable in the care of reactive and couperose skin.
Regeneration1% TECA: 40% acceleration in wound healing, 35% reduction in post-acne scars over 8 weeks (Bylka et al., 2013).
Madecassoside activates fibroblasts to synthesize type I/III collagen via Smad2/3 in the TGF-β pathway. Asiatic acid stimulates ceramides. Synergy with vitamin C and HA.
