Concentration Organic filters 5-15%, mineral 5-25%

Broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection is a combination of next-generation UV filters — both chemical (organic) and mineral — providing effective defense against UVA and UVB radiation. UVB filters protect against sunburn and erythema, while UVA penetrates deeper and is responsible for photoaging, hyperpigmentation, and loss of firmness. An SPF 30 factor blocks about 97% of UVB radiation and is recommended for daily care in urban conditions. Using SPF products is the foundation of preventing premature skin aging, melanoma, and pigmentation changes. It is an absolute must-have in the skincare routine for every skin type, regardless of the season.

Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced in the human body by the pineal gland, responsible for regulating the circadian rhythm and the process of falling asleep. In cosmetics, its strong antioxidant action is harnessed — it is one of the most powerful free-radical scavengers, working in both aqueous and lipid environments. Tranexamic acid is a synthetic analogue of the amino acid lysine, originally used in medicine as a drug to inhibit bleeding, which has found a breakthrough application in aesthetic dermatology. It works by inhibiting the plasminogen pathway in melanocytes, which is responsible for melanin overproduction after UV exposure. It effectively reduces melasma, chloasma (pregnancy-related discolouration), hormonal and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) — often where other brightening ingredients fail. It also acts anti-inflammatorily, so it works well in caring for skin with broken capillaries and a tendency to redness. Recommended for skin with hard-to-treat discolouration — a key active ingredient in Christina's Illustrious line.

ANTI-MELASMA

3% tranexamic acid: 32% reduction in melasma over 12 weeks (Lee et al., 2016, n=37). Efficacy comparable to 4% hydroquinone without adverse effects.

Mechanism of action

It inhibits plasminogen in keratinocytes, blocking activation of the PAR-2 pathway and UV-induced overproduction of prostaglandins (PGE2) that stimulate melanogenesis. Anti-inflammatory.

Vitamin E (tocopherol) is one of the most important vitamins in skincare — a powerful fat-soluble antioxidant that protects the cells' lipid membranes from peroxidation. How to use
Can I combine this product with other Christina lines?
Yes. All Christina lines are designed for compatibility. You'll get the best results by following a complete routine from a single line — the products mutually reinforce each other's effects. You can also combine products from different lines (e.g. a Forever Young serum + a Muse cream). One exception: introduce retinoid and AHA/BHA products gradually and do not apply them on the same evening — this may irritate the skin. Always use a sunscreen the next morning. If in doubt, use our free consultation.

What is the delivery time?
Orders placed on business days before 11:30 are shipped the same day — you'll receive your parcel the next business day. Free delivery for orders over PLN 200. Standard processing time: 24–48 business hours.

Are Christina products tested on animals?
According to the manufacturer, the ingredients in Christina products are not tested on animals. We verify the safety of our formulas in clinical trials with volunteers under dermatological supervision. Independently of this, Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 applies in the European Union. Its Article 18 bans animal testing of cosmetic products and their ingredients in the EU to meet the requirements of the Regulation. It also bans selling in the EU cosmetics whose formulation or ingredients were tested on animals for that purpose. The ban applies to every cosmetic product on the EU market.

How should I store the product after opening?
Store Christina products at room temperature (15–25°C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. After opening, the product retains its full efficacy for the period marked with the PAO symbol (e.g. 12M = 12 months) on the packaging. Products with active vitamins (C, retinol) should be stored away from light.
